Hard baits
Compare the existing body reference, ballast note, hook setup and coating before changing artwork or pack-out.
Build a clear wholesale lure range across hard baits, soft plastics, jigs, spoons and spinners.
A wholesale lure program is easiest to compare when the range is tied to existing model references and a consistent brief. Start with the family, model or body reference, target market, colour direction, quantity tier, pack format and destination. Then separate the product decisions that change the quote: material, finished weight, hook style, attached hardware, coating, artwork and carton.
The aim is a like-for-like comparison across the range. A lower number may describe a different hook, coating, pack count or packaging assumption. Ask each shortlisted supplier to mark which fields come from an existing specification, which can be changed without new tooling and which still need a sample or drawing. Factory identity, capacity, MOQ, exact colour performance and lead time remain Not confirmed until the live brief is checked.
Put the material and finished weight next to the model reference rather than leaving them in a catalogue image. Record the hook form and size convention, split rings or wire, eye finish, skirt or tail where relevant, and any coating or plating requirement. Colour should reference a supplied chip, artwork file or approved sample when the shade matters; a colour name alone can be interpreted differently.
For a mixed range, use one line per model or variant. Note the allowed substitutions, sample requirement and whether the same packaging can cover more than one variant. This gives procurement a clean way to compare an existing range, a colour update and a packaging change without presenting them as the same factory task.
Packaging is part of the wholesale product. Specify bulk or retail pack, pieces per pack, card or box artwork, barcode, language, carton marks and any destination-market labelling. Add the requested quantity tier, repeat forecast if known, delivery destination and inspection points. If you need a mixed carton or several families in one program, list the pack-out for each model so the quote does not hide a different assumption.
Before treating a number as comparable, request a marked specification, a sample reference or a clear list of open fields. We keep tooling status, material evidence, hook details and delivery timing visible instead of filling gaps with a generic range.
Compare the existing body reference, ballast note, hook setup and coating before changing artwork or pack-out.
Record compound, softness, additives, colour reference, pack count and any statement that needs a sample.
Keep head or body weight, hook, skirt or body, finish and retail pack on the same purchase line.
Compare blank profile, metal gauge, finish, split ring, hook and card or bulk packaging together.
Specify blade, clevis, wire, body finish, hook and pack format so each range variant shares the same assumptions.
We align model reference, material, weight, hook setup, finish, packaging, destination and quantity before comparing supplier responses. Fields that are inferred or still open stay marked Not confirmed.
Sometimes, but the change needs to be separated from tooling, sampling and artwork work. Send the reference model and the proposed colour or pack files so the supplier can state what is actually available.
Not from a generic range. MOQ, capacity and lead time depend on the exact model, material, pack-out and destination, so they are confirmed against a live brief.
